    Is John Bauer coming?

    John Albert Bauer , born June 4, 1882 in Jönköping, Småland, died November 20, 1918 on Lake Vättern, was a Swedish artist, painter and illustrator. Most of Bauer's work consists of watercolors, but he also painted in oils and murals. His illustrations have had and have a profound impact on Swedish folklore and storytelling.

    Product description

    The motif consists of a large Christmas goat with long horns, next to a child in a red hat. Snowflakes fall over both and a cabin is visible in the background. This detailed poster by John Bauer from 1911 gives a Christmas feel and will be an atmospheric element in the home during the winter months. The painting was the cover image for "The Christmas Goat: A Christmas Magazine for Big and Small Children".
