William Morris was a British artist, designer and author and a leading figure in the British Arts and Crafts movement. But he is best known as the designer of beautiful patterns for wallpaper and patterned fabrics.
William Morris was born on March 24, 1834 in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest near London. In 1861, together with Rossetti, Burne-Jones, Madox Brown and Webb, he founded the company Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co, which later became known as Morris & Co.
