    Who was Alexander H Wyant?

    Alexander H Wyant, born 11 January 1836 in Ohio, United States, died 29 November 1892 in New York, United States, was an American landscape painter. His early paintings closely followed the tradition of the Hudson River School, while his later paintings, imbued with muted colors, atmospheric features, and poetic interpretation, are representative of tonalism.

    Poster with the painting "Arkville Landscape" by the American artist Alexander Helwig Wyant from the years 1880-1889.
