His parents were painters and Fantin-Latour followed in their footsteps. He studied art at the École des Beaux-Arts and grew up in Paris, where he was greatly inspired by Impressionism. Fantin-Latour is best known for his still images, which often depict flowers or famous people. He is also famous for his fruit bowls and group portraits. Fantin-Latour's paintings had a unique ability to capture details and create an atmosphere of stillness and calm.
