    Who was Pablo Picasso?

    Pablo Picasso , born October 25, 1881 in Málaga, Spain, died April 8, 1973 in Provence, France, is one of the world's most famous artists. He was colossally prolific and left behind at his death more than 13,000 canvases, 100,000 lithographs, 34,000 illustrations and 300 sculptures. He is considered, together with Georges Braque, to be the originator of Cubism. In May 2015, Picasso's painting "The Women of Algiers" was sold at an auction for just over 179 million dollars.

    Colorful cubist portrait where the face is divided into red, yellow, blue and black fields. Large eyes and marked lines enhance the expressive motif, and green details in the hair break up the soft, beige background. The poster pays tribute to the unique artistry of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso within cubism. As one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he gives character to, for example, living rooms or study rooms.
