    Who was Utagawa Kunisada?

    Utagawa Kunisada (1786–1865), also known as Toyokuni III, was one of the most prolific and successful artists in Japan during the 19th century. He became famous for his detailed portraits of kabuki actors, beautiful women (bijin-ga), as well as scenes of contemporary urban and cultural life in Edo (present-day Tokyo).

    Product description

    The motif consists of a colorful Japanese illustration with a green peacock, a lion with a yellow mane and a pink demon-like figure, all decorated with graphic patterns. Traditional Japanese inscriptions frame the image. This poster by Utagawa Kunisada gives a cultural historical and decorative feel to, for example, a living room or study.

    We print our posters on a 200 gram semi-matte paper of the highest quality from the French manufacturer Clairefontaine. The paper is certified with FSC and our production is certified with Ecolable to ensure a sustainable production.
