    Who was Ohara Koson?

    Ohara Koson (1877–1945), also known by the names Shōson and Hoson, was a prominent Japanese artist who specialized in kachō-e (pictures of flowers and birds). He is particularly appreciated for his delicate and detailed depictions of birds in various settings, from snow-covered landscapes to colorful flower gardens.

    Product description

    Two pheasants sit side by side on a branch with pale pink plum blossoms against a light background. Detailed plumage in muted brown and blue tones is typical of Ohara Koson.
