    Jan Ciągliński , born February 20, 1858, died January 6, 1913, was a Polish painter who lived in Russia. His works are considered the first examples of Russian Impressionism. Ciągliński painted portraits, landscapes and decorative works, often inspired by extensive travels in North Africa and the Middle East.
